Barbara Delia Delhotal

July 25, 1927 – July 26, 2018

Barbara Delia Delhotal was born July 25, 1927 in Oakland, Calif. and passed peacefully July 26, 2018 in San Diego, Calif.  She passed just one day after her ninety-first birthday and three months after the passing of her husband of 54 years, Lyle A. Delhotal. Barbara was one of ten children born to Philip Edwin and Lillian Henry Pomeroy.

Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and brought joy to everyone she met. Barbara loved to travel and did travel all over the world.  Barbara was an accomplished seamstress. Barbara loved to do jigsaw puzzles then frame them and hang them on the wall.  She also liked to sing, take photographs and write.

Barbara is survived by her three children, Mrs. Nancy Galbraith (Fergus), Terry Davis (Dianne), Mrs. Jacklyn Hughes (Bill); four grandchildren, Timothy Davis, Mrs. Kelly Oliver (Vincent), Hunter Hughes, Liam Hughes; step-granddaughter Mrs. Eileen Kuhl; two great-grandchildren, Kai and Trevor also two step-great-grandchildren Lauren and Evan; her sister, Mrs. Marjorie Everidge; her sister-in-law Mrs. Patricia Davis, and her brother-in-law Lester Delhotal.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband’s, Roy “Dee” Davis and Lyle A. Delhotal; her siblings: Philip George Pomeroy, Mrs. Mary Maser, Mrs. Bonnie Fiori, Edwin Alvin Pomeroy, Raymond Byron Pomeroy, George Henry Pomeroy, Harry Frank Pomeroy, and James Allen Pomeroy.

Barbara will be laid to rest on September 15th at Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
