Catherine Loria

Catherine Loria 1916-2018

Catherine Loria passed away peacefully Tuesday the 7th of August at her home in Poway.  She was born December 10, 1916 in Brooklyn, New York.  She moved from New York to California in 1963 with her husband and children.

Catherine was one of 8 siblings raised in a loving home of Italian Immigrant Parents in Brooklyn, New York. She was a charitable woman who showed perseverance, fortitude and extreme resourcefulness.

She and her husband opened a successful Italian restaurant in a local bowling alley in Hawthorne, California until her husbands passing in 1969.  She was a wonderful Italian cook.

Catherine will forever be remembered and loved by her beloved daughters Marie McNamara, Louise Ziminsky, Catherine Mejias and son Joseph Loria, along with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband Vincent Loria and her daughters Virginia Loria and Joanne Reed. 

Catherine loved watching mysteries on television, and Her happiest times were spent surrounded by her family.
