Dr. James R Masuhr

Dr. James Masuhr, loving husband and father of four children returned to his heavenly home at age 80 on May 17, 2018.

Jim was born, December 1, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI to Russell and Alice Masuhr. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1962, from Marquette University and practiced dentistry for 56 years in both Milwaukee and San Diego. In June of 1960 he married his love Carole (Rieve) Masuhr and together raised two sons Steven and Michael and two daughters Linda and JoLynn.

His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God were his strongholds.

He is survived by his wife Carole, son Steven Masuhr (Veralynn), daughter Linda Immonen (Keith), daughter JoLynn Frederick and son Michael Masuhr (Michelle). His family includes granddaughters, Charlene, (Jeff), Emma Jo, grandsons Jacob, Jackson and Jameson as well as great-grandchildren Kam, Kayla and Maxwell. Also survived by brother in law John Sorenson (Marilyn) Cedarburg, WI, Randy (Carol) Rieve, Gallipolis, OH, Christine Rieve, Waukesha, WI, nieces, nephews and friends.

He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who will miss his advice, his smile and his humor.

A funeral service will be held on June 2, 2018 at 1:00PM Donations to Community Lutheran Church on Valley Parkway, Escondido accepted in lieu of flowers.
