Joanne Marie Jarvis

Joanne Marie Hatton Jarvis was born May 2, 1942, in Honolulu, Hawaii to
Clarence Edward Hatton and Annie Baros Hatton. Joanne passed away on June, 23rd,
2019 at her home in Escondido.

She married Charles Burton Jarvis on July 8th, 1961, in San Diego,
California. She is survived by her and Charles' three children, James Jarvis, Paula, Jamie Cusick, Brian and Jerald Jarvis, Jeanie and her siblings, Thomas Hatton, Diane (Bonita)and Robert Hatton (San Diego). She is also survived by seven fantastic grandchildren that were her life. Erik, Elly, Caroline, Elizabeth, Mary Kate, Jacob and Jetta.

Joanne walked with the Lord her entire life and made lifelong friends in her church. She was an avid lover of travel and saw her grandkids and children often. In the 2 weeks prior to her passing Joanne had visited all of her children and grandchildren. She was always active and present to attend the special moments in their lives. Joanne loved to walk through beautiful gardens, looking at flowers and trees. She never knew a stranger and had a magical way of drawing in adults, children and pets. Every pet and baby were fair game, and she never let one go by untouched or unnoticed. Her heart was pure 100% love and joy and it radiated from her very soul. All friends, all strangers, all people were a gift. Joanne made them feel how special they truly were to her.

During her childhood Joanne had a serious arm injury that nearly resulted in amputation. Her mother sought guidance at Shriner's hospital and through them, not only was her arm saved, she went on to create a healing career in massage therapy. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shriner's Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. Services will be held on July 12, 2019 at 3PM at Escondido Christian Center, 927 Idaho Ave, Escondido, CA 92025
