In Loving Memory - Alex Antonio Valladares
beloved son, brother, nephew, grandson
With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Alex Antonio Valladares on
Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the age of 20. A beloved son, cherished brother, nephew, cousin,
and grandson, Alex was born on October 5, 2004, in Jacksonville, FL, to Melchor Valladares and
Natalie Vidaurri (née Phouthavong). He graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in San Diego in
2022 and was attending Miramar College. In his short time with us, he pursued a variety of
interests, including mechanical work and welding, training with his coach, pursuing a fighting
career, and working as a server. Alex had planned to join the Navy in the summer of 2025,
marking the start of a new chapter in his life.
Affectionately known as Toño by his family, Alex was a bright light to all who knew him. His
kindness, positivity, infectious sense of humor, and playful spirit made him unforgettable. He
had a deep passion for fixing and repairing cars, MMA, and wrestling. In his free time, Toño
loved spending time with family and friends—running errands, grabbing boba and ice cream,
playing League of Legends, and watching anime like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure as well as shows
such as The Office and Arcane.
Alex will be deeply missed by his parents—Melchor, Natalie, Marcia, and Anthony—his siblings,
Alexandria, AJ, Leonidas, and Leannes; his grandparents; aunts, uncles, cousins, and the
countless friends he made in school, through wrestling, kickboxing, and jiu-jitsu. While his loss
leaves a deep ache, we will carry him in our hearts forever. Alex is now reunited with his baby
sister, Avalina, in heaven. His strength, resilience, and positive attitude will continue to inspire us
all.
A viewing will take place at Cornerstone Church, 13617 Midland Road, Poway, CA 92064, on
Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held the
following day, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at Cornerstone Church. His
burial will take place at Dearborn Memorial Park at 1:00 PM, followed by a reception and
fellowship at Cornerstone Church.
We will love and miss you forever, Toño, and will cherish all the memories until we meet again.
