Barbara Ann Hartman

In Loving Memory of Barbara Ann Hartman (1943-2024)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Hartman, who departed this life on August 14, 2024, after a brief illness.  Born in Nebraska in 1943, Barbara made the San Diego area her home for most of her life.  

Barbara worked for San Diego County for over 30 years, most of that time as an Administrative Secretary for the San Diego Sheriff’s Department in several different locations around the county and finally at the Sheriff headquarters.  She had lots of interesting adventures throughout her career and made many long-lasting friendships along the way.  

In her retirement, Barbara found joy in reading, crafting, playing games, nurturing deep friendships, and keeping in touch with her extended family throughout the country.  She also cherished the opportunities she had to travel, embracing new experiences with enthusiasm and curiosity.  

Barbara is survived by her two daughters, LeeAnn Navarro and Shelley Hamilton.  She was preceded in death by her dear grandson Cory Perkins, and is survived by grandchildren, Michelle Arrollado, Cassi Siferd, and Matthew Arrollado, and great-grandchildren Amity Perkins, Lyle Siferd, and Harper Siferd.  The bond she shared with her grandchildren was a testament to her unwavering love and the joy she brought into their lives.  Her warm embrace and radiant spirit will forever be etched in their hearts.  

Barbara’s family will be holding a celebration of her life on November 30, 2024.
