Betsy Sue Stewart

Betsy Sue Stewart, 84, of Escondido, passed away on January 5, 2022 at her home in Escondido.  

Betsy was born in La Mesa, Texas to Lonnie and Carrie Waltrip on May 6, 1937.  She married J.T. Stewart on December 26, 1950 in Levelland, Texas. They met on his family’s cotton farm. She was a homemaker for 70 years and enjoyed sewing, ceramics, crafting, and all her grandchildren.  

Betsy is preceded in death by her sons John T. (2005) and Alvin (2016).  

Betsy is survived by her husband, J.T., her son, Lonnie and his wife Hoa and daughter, Brenda and her husband Walter, 8 grandchildren, and multiple great-grandchildren.
