Brandon Christou Obituary

Brandon Peter Christou, born November 2, 2009, in Arlington, VA, passed away on the evening of Thursday, June 6, 2024, in San Diego, CA.

Brandon was a loving son to Allyson and Peter and a dedicated brother. Brandon was a shining light to his family and a deeply empathetic, clever, and helpful soul. He enjoyed all forms of transportation, especially learning about airplanes and trains, and fervently following stock car racing. Brandon could identify virtually all types of airplanes from afar and knew all about the inner workings of a train from a young age. He loved animals, particularly his cat, Bob, whom he chose carefully from a local cat shelter. Family and friends will remember Brandon as mature beyond his years, a talented creator, and a dedicated school band trumpet player.

Brandon’s remains will rest peacefully amongst his beloved trees of New Jersey at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge, NJ, and with his family.  A private family service was held at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Poway, CA, in addition to a community celebration of life memorial that was held in his neighborhood at the Ranch House at Del Sur in San Diego. Donations were made in his memory to his school band program: https://www.zeffy.com/donation-form/01f71ace-0e6c-4887-934d-56530fe28edb

Brandon will be loved forever and is deeply missed by his family, friends, and community. Brandon made a difference by expanding the world of those who knew him and by spreading kindness.  Those who say his name and share his stories keep Brandon’s spirit alive.
