Caroline Ann Chavez

Caroline Ann Chavez, born December 25,1955 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, entered the world as a Christmas Eve blessing to her parents, Manuel and Prudence Chavez.  From her earliest days, Caroline carried a gentle spirit and a natural gift for caring for others~qualities that shaped her life in quiet, meaningful ways.

In August of 1970, the Chavez family moved to San Diego, California, where Caroline spent her teenage years and graduated from High School in June of 1973.  Soon after, she returned to Albuquerque, drawn back to the familiar warmth of home.  Over the years, she held a variety of jobs, but no matter the role, she was always at her best when she was helping people.  Caroline had a way of offering comfort simply by being present, and those who knew her felt the sincerity of her kindness.

In May of 2012, Caroline returned to San Diego once more - this time with a purpose close to her heart.  She devoted herself to spending time with her parents and assisting in their care, giving back the same love and support they had shown her throughout her life.  It was a role she embraced with grace, patience, and deep devotion.

Caroline is survived by her mother, Prudence; her sister, Geri Adam; her brother, Dan; nephew Eddie Adam and niece Brittany Adam.  She also leaves behind a large and loving extended family, including many cousins she cherished deeply.  Caroline's life was marked by generosity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to the people she loved.  Her gentle humor, her steady presence, and her caring heart will be remembered always.

Services will be held on January 30,2026 at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Poway, California at 10:00am.  A reception will follow immediately at Santorini Island Grill, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and celebrate her life.
