On Monday, December 1, 2020, Casey G. Heer, fun loving son and brother, passed away at the age of 36.
Casey was born on July 28, 1984 in Poway, California. He came into our family on the opening day of the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles full of energy and he kept us spinning and scratching our heads for many years to come. As a child he was always busy dismantling and building things. Building forts was his specialty!
Casey excelled in sports, especially basketball, and we spent many hours watching him play. He made his family and friends laugh and cry. If someone teased him he would answer with “that hurt my feeling” and give you a big grin. He joined his father in the family street banner business for many years as the Chief Installer for convention & community street banners throughout San Diego. He took immense pride in his work and helped his father grow the business over the years.
Casey’s life was waylaid by an addiction that has cut too many other young lives short. He was a clever, crafty, charming and funny person who loved his family and his friends. We hope that he touched the lives of those who knew him in a positive way.
Casey is survived by his mother Sylvia, his father Greg and father’s wife Liz, sisters Stephanie and Jaime and extended family.
Contributions in his name can be made to: Freedom Ranch, 1777 Buckman Springs Rd, Campo, CA 91906
