Charlie Moxcey passed away peacefully at home, in San Diego, surrounded by family
following a long battle with illness. Known for his sense of humor and his kind, gentle demeanor
toward all, his smile will be forever remembered, showing us all how to make the most of every
day.
Born on May 1, 1953 in Kansas City, MO, he was the son of the late William R. and
Mary L. Moxcey. Charlie was a 1971 graduate of Rockhurst High School in Kansas City, MO,
and a 1976 graduate of Regis College in Denver, CO.
Charlie and his wife, Nancy, met at Regis College in 1975, graduated together in 1976
and married on July 1, 1978. They lived and raised their family in Arvada, CO until moving to
San Diego, CA in 2019 to be closer to children and grandchildren.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy (Miller) and their children, Andrea
(Tim) Brady of Omaha, NE, Kevin Moxcey of San Diego, CA and Hanna (Andrew) Byrne of San
Diego, CA. Charlie is also survived by four grandchildren, Kellen and Nora Brady and Wesley
and Marlie Byrne. Charlie leaves behind his brother, William Moxcey, brothers-in-law, Don
(Karen) Miller, Marty (Norah) Miller, Greg (Erin) Miller, and sisters-in-law, Rose (Charlie)
Sheehan and Jeanne (Andy) Petrick.

Moxcey home in San Diego, CA on July 23, 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made by
