Christiana Schildmeyer (Harrison) our loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away on September 16th, 2020 in San Diego, California. She was born in Athens, Greece on November 23, 1968 the daughter of Eugene and Angie Harrison. She loved everything life had to offer. Like a Greek Goddess she was admired by all of her friends and family there, and also admired and loved by all of her friends around the world. She was incredibly devoted to her family. She was the Godmother to Koralia and Ivy Rose, always making her family a top priority.

Some people are not made for this earth. Their rays are too bright, their glow too enchanting, their kindness too bold. They sparkle like the sun, which we mortals can only believe exists in the heavens. Yet, souls like Christiana come along to challenge that in us - to say yes to life, to help us realize that we too are the sun, that nothing is separate, so we must keep our eyes open to everything. Christiana gave so much love and received so much love. If there was a friend in need she was the first to show up ;  cooking healthy soups for sick friends, providing shelter if they needed a place to stay, or just being so present for you. Christiana was not one to let anyone down. She deeply loved her kittens and newly acquired bunnies. Christiana was a nurturing soul.

She loved to meditate and hike. There is a beautiful picture of her sitting in an yoga pose on top of a mountain in complete peace. A mediation book in her hand, some organic or new exciting food from the market, art she loved and of course a camera, this was Christiana.

Her stunning photographs varied from beautiful models to everyday people. She didn't edit what inspired her, because her subjects varied with the openness of her heart. She gave in a way as we all should without hesitation. This generosity was also echoed simply in her smile which was open to everyone.

he always felt deeply connected to the heavens which helps us know she is always with us. Her smile, her twirl, her lust for life, her understanding of passion and joy will show up as we feel her essence in our own lives.

Like her last posted image which is of a pond on a crystal clear day reflecting the bright blue sky this is how Christiana will reflect for all of us.

When finding out about her Illness butterflies came to mind because Christiana was as a butterfly. When butterflies show up in our lives we always tend to stop and look. We marvel at their beauty, their delicacy, and strength. This was Christiana Mara, a multifaceted beauty who knew how to hover close to simplicity, but was brave enough to take her soft wings long distances. The butterfly is the symbol of transformation, light and grace and this is how we see Christiana now; as an ephemeral magical creature whose presence will continue to guide and grace us all.
