Donna "Dixie" May

Born in Byron Center, Michigan, she grew up on a farm, went to school, and after some college, she headed west to San Diego, CA in 1953. She met Paul R. May, a young Navy man, and they wed after a 6-week courtship. They were happily married for 65 years. Dixie had two children in Bremerton, WA, one child in Kwajalein, Marshall Islands, and one in San Diego, CA. Her husband started a testing laboratory in 1968. She worked right alongside him and it grew to great prosperity. The company celebrated its 50th anniversary last year. They’ve gone global and work internationally. She is survived by her husband, Paul R. May of Poway, CA, and her brothers, Larry (“Buzz”) Bailey of Newaygo, Michigan and Ron Bailey of Caledonia, Michigan, and four children, nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
