Elio Settimo Campagnolo

Elio Setttimo Campagnolo passed away on February 5, 2022, at the age of 91. He was receiving care from Elizabeth Hospice at the Eagles Nest Retirement Ranch.

Elio, a son of Italian immigrants, was born in San Francisco on January 23, 1931. His parents were Settimo Campagnolo and Maria Tessarolo.

Elio had several careers during his lifetime, starting as a Merchant Marine for 10 years and then a Muni bus driver in San Francisco. In his mid 30's, he became a Real Estate Broker and opened a very successful office, Eagle Realty in Cupertino, California. He continued his Real Estate career in Grass Valley and San Diego until retirement. He lived in many places including San Francisco, Los Gatos, and Grass Valley. He later moved to Rancho Bernardo, where he lived with his wife Janice for 32 years.

Elio had a love of Opera music and played the mandolin. He was a fantastic cook and would make delicious pasta dishes for his family to enjoy. In his younger days, he enjoyed swimming and playing pool. In retirement, he loved to go on cruises, travel, and spend time with his family and friends.

He is survived by Mary Alioto, his wife of 39 years, and Janice White Mueller, his second wife of 32 years. He is also survived by daughters Rosanne Quenneville of Redwood Estates, Laura Mohun (Ray) of Walnut Creek, Anna Alioto-Hogan (Michael) of Menlo Park, stepdaughter Rosemarie Mueller-Hanson (Scott) of Oceanside, stepson Chris Mueller of Carlsbad, 2 granddaughters, 1 step-grandson, and 6 great grandchildren.

Elio’s ashes will be scattered at sea near the Oceanside pier at 11 a.m., on April 30th. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial from 1 p.m.to 5 p.m. in Oceanside.
