Fouad Ibrahim Hanna

Fouad Ibrahim Hanna peacefully passed away in Poway, CA on January 26, 2021, with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sheryl Lynn Hanna; his two daughters Susan Hufnagel and Sandy Bauer; and his 4 grandchildren Aiden, Laila, Heidi and Hunter.
Fouad was born on May 19, 1940 in Cairo, Egypt. He had 7 siblings who he loved dearly. He earned his Bachelors degree in Accounting and then in 1973, with just under $200 in his pocket, he eagerly immigrated to the United States. He settled in Los Angeles, CA, where he met his wife, Sheryl.
Fouad worked as an Assessor for Los Angeles County for 37 years. He was passionate about his work, which is where he met his wife and several life-long friends.
Fouad was young at heart with a zest for life and he will always be remembered as the life of the party. He danced at every party and concert, and he wanted everyone around him to have a good time. He never missed a Lakers game, even though he insisted he hated them. Most importantly, Fouad loved his family. He wanted nothing more than to give them everything he didn’t have. He had a big heart and he truly loved to help others. His generosity helped his siblings fulfill the American dream as well. He will never be forgotten and he will be greatly missed.  
Fouad’s memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 23rd at 11am at Holy Virgin Mary Coptic Orthodox Church in Los Angeles, followed by the precession to Forest Lawn- Hollywood Hills. Due to Covid restrictions and the limited number of family members attending the service, a virtual memorial service will be available.
