In Loving Memory of Frank Snodgrass Spencer
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Frank Snodgrass Spencer, who departed peacefully at the age of 92.
Born on October 6, 1932, in Wichita, Kansas, Frank was the beloved son of Frank Eli Snodgrass and Bessie Madge Spencer. Originally named Frank Spencer Snodgrass, he legally changed his name on December 30, 1970, to the one he carried with pride.
Frank grew up in Wichita, where he excelled academically, graduating cum laude from The University of Wichita after attending Wichita High School East. During his time in school, he was a dedicated member of ROTC, which led him to serve honorably in the United States Army and later in the United States Army Reserves.
Following his military service, Frank moved to Los Angeles, California, where he joined his brother and pursued a career in law. While working as an insurance adjuster, he diligently attended law school, eventually becoming a respected attorney. His career flourished in Los Angeles before he transitioned to San Diego, where he continued to practice law with dedication and integrity.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dwaine. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Gretchen Deklyn Spencer, her two daughters, and her granddaughter. He also leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Frank’s legacy is one of commitment, perseverance, and love. His wisdom, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family and profession will be deeply missed.
