Gregory S. Beck
Obituary
Gregory Scott Beck was born in Newport Beach, California, on February 9, 1963, as the youngest of four children, and passed away peacefully on June 12, 2023, after a lengthy illness. Known for his kindness, humor, creativity, and intelligence, Greg will be deeply missed. As a design engineer, his contributions crossed many industries: aerospace, automotive, boating, motorcycle, and solar. He founded Cassady Engineering, Yorba Safety Concepts, and Azore Aviation. Flying helicopters and dirt bike riding in the desert with long-standing friends were his favorite past-times.
His formal education was at Annapolis Naval Academy and Cal Poly Pomona. He enjoyed studying physics, engineering, philosophy, and American history.
Greg was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Dr. SuZanne Chaves. He also leaves behind two children, Cassady and Jason Beck; and two grandchildren, Lorelai and Aaron.
The Celebration of life will be held June 27, 2023 at 3 p.m. at the Pauma Valley Country Club.
