Irene M. Venzor

 It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Irene Marie Venzor, beloved daughter, sister, partner, mother, and grandmother. Irene passed peacefully at UCSD on November 6, 2020 at the age of 49, following a chronic illness that she battled with courage and tenacity for years.  She was born in San Diego, CA on January 17, 1971 and grew up in Old Town San Diego. She was a proud Pointer at Point Loma High School class of 1989. Irene was the daughter of Sonja Rodriguez and Arthur Venzor, and sister to Arthur J. Venzor.  She was a devoted mother to daughters, Jessica and Alexis, and grandmother to Iliana Pereyra. 

Irene was all about flashy hair and nails, the flashier the better. She spent a lot of time creating her planner and making it perfect. Irene had a very caring way about her, and nothing brought her more joy and fulfillment than taking care the people she loved. Irene would do anything she could for anyone she knew. She was always ready with a beer for you at any sporting event or concert she was working. She enjoyed visiting friends and family. She had an irresistible presence about her that people loved.

Irene’s life was enriched immensely by her family, and it was clear to all that she loved each one of them fiercely. She will be sadly missed by those who were closest to her heart, including: Irene’s life partner, Eddie; her two daughters, Jessica and Alexis; granddaughter Iliana; Brother Art; niece Isabella and nephew Eric, and Mother Sonja and Stepfather Luis Rodriguez. Her loving and caring spirit has been forever imprinted on our hearts, which we will carry with us for the rest of our years.
