John Marko

John Marko

Born in 1936, in New Brighton, PA, he passed away January 6, 2024, in Escondido, CA.

A 1954 graduate of New Brighton High School, John served in the Army from 1954-56 under the GI Bill before attending Penn State University, State College, PA. 

John enjoyed traveling and making friends. He captured the world's beauty via his oil paintings, photography, and planting gardens everywhere.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Regina Marko; his siblings, Lawrence (Pat), Joseph Jr., and Margaret Marko; and his niece's husband and their son, Ed and Mark Frese.  

He is survived by his nieces and nephew: Michele Frese, Beth (James) Fox and
their son, Matthew, Patti Marko, and Larry (Mariana) Marko and their children, Sara Anne and Alex Rohrer. He is survived by Marko and Romischer cousins here in the USA and Hungary.

His family can never repay the kindness and care given to their uncle by his friends, coworkers and the Palomar Medical Center staff in Escondido; especially Dr. Daniel Harrison, Sharon Briscoe, Barbara Ford, Ricki Miller and Ken Maculan.
