Juanita Margaret Lea

Born in Detroit, Michigan.  Juanita’s father was Herman Moore and her mother was Mildred Moore. 

Her childhood was spent going between Michigan and Arkansas where the Makemy family farm resided on her mothers side. Her parents later settled in Los Angeles, California in the late 1940’s.

Juanita met her husband Frank Lea and they were married in 1948. 

She worked at Palomar Medical Center as a Ward Clerk for 10 years.  After retirement she served as a volunteer at Palomar Medical Center, Escondido Library and later at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido.

Juanita is survived by her two daughters, Janet Schimke and Linda McDonald, 4 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
