Lou Ann Walker

Louise Ann Walker, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and devoted follower of Jesus, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She is now reunited in heaven with her late husband, Edward Walker, her sister Betty Jane, and her brother William. She was born to Adolph and Elizabeth Roesch in Flushing, New York on June 18,1949. After graduating high school, LouAnn worked as a secretary in Manhattan, winning over people with her friendliness and sense of humor. The job that truly brought her the most joy was her role as a mother and grandmother.
 

In 1986, LouAnn and her husband Ed and their two daughters moved from New York to San Diego. They enjoyed many years bike riding along the Pacific Ocean and taking memorable trips, often coming home with new friendships. LouAnn was a woman of deep faith, known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family, neighbors and friends. You were only a stranger once to LouAnn and she had an amazing capacity to care and connect with so many. She found great joy in serving others and was an active member of Maranatha Chapel, most recently serving in the Children’s Ministry.

LouAnn is survived by her loving daughters, Janine Gavin (Ty) and Colleen Remond (Robert), and her cherished granddaughters, Grace, Liliana and Claire. She is also remembered with love by her many nieces and nephews. Her family will forever treasure the moments spent together—whether it was her generous heart, her thoughtful actions, or the way she made them laugh with her humor and storytelling. She had the gift of always bringing smiles to everyone around her. A celebration of LouAnn’s life will be held at Maranatha Chapel on March 3, 2025 at 1:00pm.
