Mark Edward Singer was born May 13th, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Richard and Pauline Singer. The family remained in St. Louis until they relocated to his mother's native Australia. The Singer family moved to several cities in Southern California. Mark worked as a teen at his parents' ice cream shop at the Mercado in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego. Mark and his parents moved back to Adelaide, Australia, in 1973, where Mark attended Gawler High School. Mark worked in supermarkets, eventually becoming a manager. In 1995, Mark returned to San Diego and worked in the computer/IT industry.
Mark was well-respected by his colleagues and customers in the hospitality industry. He started his own business in 2020 as a point-of-sale technician. Mark could not have achieved the level
of success that he did without the support of his fantastic wife, Maureen. Mark had a reputation as a dedicated worker.
Mark's life turned beautiful when he met his soulmate, Maureen, in 2007. Their love blossomed, and in 2009, they welcomed their precious daughter, Mallory, into the world. Mark and Maureen's union was sealed in 2010 in a heartfelt Las Vegas, Nevada ceremony. Their journey was a testament to the enduring power of love as they stood by each other through life's trials and triumphs.
Mark was a devoted family man, and his love for his daughter, Mallory, was evident in everything he did. He cherished their time together, whether it was at a concert or on a trip. Mark was a proud Cat Dad, and his heart ached at the loss of Misty, the family cat he had raised from a kitten. When Maple came into their lives, he was instantly smitten. Mark and Maureen's shared love of travel led them on many adventures, including a memorable trip to the UK and France. The Singer trio had dreams of visiting Australia together, a plan that sadly remained unfulfilled.
In his spare time, Mark could always be found scrolling through TikTok and laughing at all the hilarious memes and videos. He enjoyed going to casinos; he was a skilled Blackjack and Baccarat player. Mark passed away on August 13, 2024, after a short battle with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of bile duct cancer. Through this brave fight, he remained positive and ever lost his sense of humor. Mark will be sorely missed by all who knew him, and his absence will forever mark our lives.
