Norman Toia, age 51, passed away on July 30th, 2022. He spent his last few moments surrounded by family and those closest to him. He spent most of his life in San Diego, CA. There, he met his one and only wife, Sherlyn Toia. They got married on March 25th, 1995. This was the start of a family that cannot be broken with their sons, Moddy and Anthony.
Norman proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 24 years before retiring with an honorable discharge in January 2021. To this day, he continues to be highly spoken of by his shipmates, friends, family, and many others that he has positively impacted. Norman showed a true balance of genuineness, integrity, sternness, and love. His faith in God could not be shaken and only grew stronger each day. He was a true anchor for the Toia family.
He will be heavily missed by his wife Sherlyn, his sons Anthony and Moddy with wife Cathy, his granddaughter Kehlani, his parents Veni and Alalafaga, and his siblings George, Easter, Mae, Justin, Chris along with many others. Norman always brought a sense of humor, love, and kindness with him no matter who was around. The memories of him will forever live on. He will never be forgotten. He is irreplaceable.
His viewing will take place on August 12th from 6:00pm-9:00pm at International Christian Center in Chula Vista, CA. He will then be taken to his final resting place at Miramar National Cemetery on September 2nd from 12:30pm -1:30pm.
