Omar Jose Aguey

Omar Jose Aguey, 72, of Valley Center, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on September 1, 2025. Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, September 16, from 4–8 p.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church in Escondido. A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, September 17, at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection, followed by interment at Valley Center Cemetery.  A reception will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Omar and Lucero.

Omar is survived by his devoted wife, Lucero; his children, Thais, Stephen, and Loren; his step-daughter Elizabeth; his beloved grandchildren, Reyniel, Thaimar, Joe, Sophia and Isabella; and cherished great-grandchildren, Ricardo, Matthew and Zahvier. He is also remembered with love by many brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, longtime friends, and the countless patients whose lives he touched with compassion and care.
