Robert Fredrick Mayol

Robert Fredrick Mayol passed away on April 10, 2026 in San Diego, California. He was 94. Robert was born on February 26,1932 in Woodlake, California, the oldest of five children of Cecil and Helen Mayol. His siblings Rita, Irene, Dean and Donna preceded him in death. 

After serving in the U.S. Air Force Robert returned to California and pursued his career with Bell Telephone and his passion for fishing. After retirement he and Donna Mayol, his wife of 45 years, enjoyed travelling, touring the United States and visiting Europe, China, Japan, Russia, Southeast Asia and South America. 

Robert is survived by sons Kevin Mayol (wife Alecia) and Brad Mayol (wife Nancy) from his first marriage to Jane Mayol, grandchildren Kristy, Robert, Nicholas, Alex, Carolyn, and Philip and great grandchildren Ethan, Ben, Matthew and Madison. He is also survived by his wife Donna, stepchildren Cheryl (husband Miguel), Chris (wife Babs), Sean (wife Alicia) and Katie (husband Olaf), grandchildren Andrea, Danny, Glen, Scotty, Audrey, Joey, Matthew, Caroline, Paul and Allison and great grandchildren Adrian, Isaac, Sofia and Patrick.

The family will honor his memory privately.
