A beloved son, brother, dad, grandpa and uncle, Scott Dudero of Escondido passed away on Sat., Jan. 9, 2021, after battling heart disease. He was 79.
Scott was born on Aug. 9, 1941, in St. Paul, MN, to Gordon E. Dudero and Virginia L. Coffman. He moved to southern California as a child and grew up in Valley Center, attending Escondido H.S. He lived in Escondido on and off for over 50 years.
Before retiring to spend more time on the golf course, Scott made a living as a skilled carpenter. He built beautiful decks, porches, cabinetry and more for homes across the West. He had a great sense of humor, loved playing cards with friends, and enjoyed watching sports of all kinds. He was a devoted Padres fan.
Scott was preceded in passing by his parents and his sister, Christine L. Dudero. He’s survived by his daughter Ginger Schroepfer (Brian) of Pflugerville, TX, and son Scott Craig “Scotty” Dudero (Kat) of Applegate, OR; 3 niece/nephews; 6 grandchildren; 4 grand-niece/nephews; 6 great-grandchildren; and many dear friends.
We will all miss him very much. No memorial service is planned at this time due to COVID-19.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked to honor Scott, please consider donating in his name to The First Tee (www.firsttee.org), an organization that helps kids build character and life skills through golf, or to the American Heart Association.
