Seriynna Karise Parcke

Seriynna Karise Parcke of Ramona, CA, passed away on January 24th, 2022 at the Palomar Medical Center in Poway at the age of 65 due to complications of breast cancer. 

Seriynna is survived by her children; James Pinato, Carissa Rose (David); her siblings; Virginia L. Smart, Robert A. Pless (Teri), Marjorie L. Fradella (Jerry), Randall E. Pless (Audrey), and Tamara L. Passey (Steven); and her grandson Oliver R. Rose. Seriynna is preceded in death by her parents Robert G. Pless, Majorie L. Pless (Dernier), and her brother, Adam J. Pless.

Seriynna was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Robert G. Pless and Majorie Pless on March 31st, 1957, the eldest of seven children. She graduated from Southeastern Technical Institute in 1979 with a degree in Computer Programming, a field in which she profoundly excelled. She then worked in various technical positions in downtown Boston, ultimately becoming an IT project lead manager for Keane, a technical consulting firm. On June 30th, 1990 and April 1st, 1992, she adopted her children from South Korea, a monumental part of her life.

Seriynna was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She embodied the mastery process, continually studied and read church education, scripture, family history, and dedicated herself to temple work later in life. She was a seminary, primary, and Sunday-school teacher. She was a church event leader and organizer. Most importantly, the Church enabled many significant bonds of friendship and sisterhood, and she will be missed by her friends and family.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on February 12th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Twin Peaks and Espola Rd. Bishop Eric Anderson will preside.
