Steven Thomas Evers, born Steven Thomas Beversdorf on February 2, 1960, in Pensacola, Florida, passed away on August 16, 2025, in Escondido, California. Steve is survived by his wife, Lynn; his children, Ashley (Frank), and Sara; and his grandson, Leo. He is also survived by his siblings, Michael (Anne), Suzanne (Tony), and John. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary Evers, and his eldest sister, Patricia.
Steve lived a full and generous life, known for his sense of humor, mechanical skills, and love for helping others. He worked for many years as a facilities engineer and was a true jack-of-all-trades, always ready to lend a tool, jump into a project, or help a friend or neighbor in need. In his younger years, he loved surfing, riding dirt bikes, ATVs, and playing volleyball and basketball. He later found joy in traveling, hunting, and spending time upgrading his man cave/garage. A lifelong animal lover, Steve always had a soft spot for pets, especially dogs.
He was married for nearly 41 years to his high school sweetheart, best friend, and wife, Lynn — a partnership that remained the center of his world. He was always up for a good time, and his sharp wit brought laughter to those around him. Most of all, he treasured time with his wife, daughters, and his grandson, who brought him endless pride and happiness. His warmth, energy, humor, and unwavering willingness to help others will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
