Thedford Charles Sypho

November 11, 1959 – November 22, 2024  

Thedford Charles Sypho was born on November 11, 1959, in Waco, Texas. At a young age, he relocated to California with his mother and siblings, eventually settling in Long Beach. During his high school years, Thedford enjoyed playing football and baseball as hobbies and developed a love for boxing. In 1974, the family moved to San Diego, California.  

Throughout his life, Thedford was known for his sharp intellect and keen debating skills, engaging others with his thoughtful arguments and wit. As a mentor to his nephews, he provided guidance, wisdom, and encouragement that left a lasting impact.  

Thedford’s legacy is one of resilience and dedication. He was preceded in death by his son Tyrone Charles Lester; his parents, Gloria Galloway and Thedford Sypho; his sister Deborah Houston; his grandmother Sue Watkins; his aunt Barbara Clay; and his uncle Jesse James Galloway.  

He is survived by his loving daughter Nicole Lynch; his cherished grandchildren Sincere Sypho, Avery Shoultz, and Tyshane Lynch; and his great-grandchildren Shania Washington, Jordan Lynch, Izaiah Sypho, King Jerry Branch, Ethan Branch, and Nikole Charles. He also leaves behind his siblings, Lingle Sypho, Charlesetta Sypho, and Kevin Sypho, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
