Theresa Ann Caruso

Theresa Ann Caruso was born in Rockford, IL on August 27,1930 to Eunice and Charles Holland.

Her Cousin, Marie Hannan and she were very close as kids in Illinois and continued that kinship through adulthood with both relocating to San Diego with their families in the 1940's.

Theresa went to Cathedral Girls High School in San Diego and also worked part time pumping gas at her father’s service station, where she met her future husband, Thomas Charles Caruso, when he drove into the service station for gas. They dated and eventually married on Tuesday, July 6, 1948 at St John's Catholic Church in San Diego.

Theresa and Tom lived on Nile St in San Diego where sons David Thomas and Richard Thomas were born. While raising their family, they also lived in Los Angeles and Orange County, where Theresa worked for the City of Anaheim for a number of years and then had a successful real estate career working for Ponderosa Homes as well as with her husband in their real estate business, Aztec Realty. Theresa and Tom retired to Magalia, CA before returning to San Diego County in Escondido in their final years.

Theresa loved her family fiercely, enjoyed doing needlework, painting, golf, eating ice cream and chocolate, and in her later years watching the Kansas City Chiefs.

Theresa's loving husband Tom passed away on November 23, 2003, with Theresa passing away on October 25, 2024. Theresa leaves sons and daughters-in-law David and Monica Caruso of
Escondido and Richard and Marina Caruso of Fountain Valley; grandchildren Michelle, Andrew, Andrea, Erik and Michael; and great grandchildren Isabella and Joseph. She was predeceased by
her parents and grandson Adam.
