He loved to read but his favorite book was the Bible which he read every night before bed. He participated in church and civic activities and always took a leadership role. In Atlanta, the family was active in Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church where Bill was a life deacon. He served as president of both Buckhead Kiwanis and the Buckhead Business Association. In 1997, he and Pat moved to Rancho Bernardo in San Diego to be near Miriam and her family. He and Pat became members of Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church where he served on the Board of Elders. They moved into Casa de las Campanas retirement community in 2011 where he and Pat made many friends and became active there.
Bill will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
